Brilliant azure blue?
I’m a huge Gibson fan, and this came up at a talk he did in town a few years ago. I’m sure it comes up frequently, but it was cool to hear him discussing how times have changed and how his novels are really not about the possible future of today, but the future of a few years ago. By the time you read his novels, you are reading about fictional history.

Yeah, I’ve heard that comment before about new readers having never seen a static screen. I remember how Case’s “hot RAM” that was so valuable was less than we put in our phones today, and not the smart phones.
Somewhere I have a .pdf of an old Star Frontiers module where to make it look high tech, certain pages were printed to look like they’d come from a dot-matrix line printer!
I love looking back and seeing those old views of the future, especially the ones that come from within my own lifetime!
Thanks for the comment!
